Paris by scouter

Last European summer in August, I had a wonderful time in France during the week my step sister and her boyfriend invited me over me to their place in the heart of Paris.
Alexandre offered to show me around town on his old school scooter, as the city constantly evolving had changed a lot since my last visit. Clémence was at work and we were eager to go out and make the most of the lovely summer afternoon. So we drove around to some of Alex’s favorite places. Some of the locations that only a local would know about.

I tell you, if like me all your past experiences in the capital of France was either in a car “traffic jams” walking or the metro which also has it’s charm. Paris by scooter is really something else. Dangerous, yes, exciting, for sure but there is a feeling of freedom a sense of adventure with the ease of getting around, I can say today, it was one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had in a long time. Speeding through traffic from Montmartre to The Louvre going through the small streets soaking in all the richness and diversity the city has to offer, stopping at parks, having drinks in cool rooftop or near hidden bars. A delight! We got home well into the night.

What an amazing day it was! Fun, laughs and an awesome adventure.

This picture was captured when we stopped for gas. Alex to the right. This image always puts a big smile on my face a photograph captured last year on my Olympus Om1 n, film camera which I carry with me everywhere.
